The former Super Eagles player and one of the very few players who rose form the cadet youth team up to the Senior Nation team, Coach Eddy Lord Dombraye eulogiesed the Football Coaches Associaion for Africa Nation (FCAAN) team and administrators for a job well done.
The Ukraine based Coach said this during an Online interview (one of the foremost renounces WhatsApp Platform in Nigeria) anchored by the Sports World crew on Friday evening, Goal Intense Sport can report.
The absolutely brilliant manager was diligently drilled and when asked about how Nigerian coaches can improve on their coaching techniques, he replied by saying;
“We need more of coaching clinic or courses in Nigeria. For instance in Europe if you have a UEFA B license, you will have to go for about 20 hours refresher course in a year even before your license expires which shows the level at which they place coaching education in Europe and America.”
One of its numerous advantage is that It also serves as an avenue for Coaches to know more about the game and exchange ideas.
“At the moment we have only FCAAN and I see they are trying their best to get coaches on board with up to date coaching education curricular and activities.”
FCAAN must be one of best if not the best at present, for one to see some of the best coaches in Nigeria attending the course speaks volumes about the program. Personalities like Coach Fidelis Ilechukwu of Heartland FC, Fatai Osho of Enyimba FC and the President of the Nigeria Football Coaches Association Coach Ladan Brosso who is always at the venue to give moral support and host of others coaches that were present though it might be a C license course but it shows how serious they take their career so as to add more knowledge and ideas that are being shared during the sessions.
Coach Eddy played for the Super Eagles in 1998 and he’s presently managing an Ukrainian Club in Kiev .
