Ahead of Tuesday’s kick off of hostilities in the 2021 NNL Super 8 Play off, holding in Enugu, the Team Manager of Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, Dimeji Lawal (MON), said his side would not take any team for granted in the contest.
The former Super Eagles winger, while speaking after the play off draws held at the Auttela Hotel, Enugu on Monday night, declared that the Ibadan soccer lords were fully prepared for the final phase of their quest for a return to the elite league.
Speaking specifically on the team’s opening game against Insurance, which holds on Tuesday, Kabongo, ex Flying Eagles star is called, hinted that the team was looking forward to a victorious outing over the Benin Arsenal, banking on the good run the Oluyole Warriors had in the regular season, coupled with their solid preparations.
” If you want to be champions, you have to beat any team. That we are meeting Insurance in the first game, I don’t think we should have any problem because we have prepared very well.
“We are not going to be complacent, we are going to be disciplined, we are going to respect all our opponents but we are not going to admire them and we won’t give them room to shock us this is really important to us this time around.
