Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) goalkeeper Mustapha Lawal, popularly known as the “Black Spider,” has expressed readiness for the challenges that lie ahead in the second round of the league. This follows the team’s impressive 1-0 victory over Kwara United on Matchday 19, which secured them a strong third-place finish in the first round.

“We expect a more challenging second round, but we will be ready to give it all it takes,” Lawal stated. Reflecting on the team’s form, he noted that their success so far would likely make opponents come harder at them. However, he expressed unwavering confidence in their ability to rise to the occasion. “Sure, there will be more challenges for us in the second round, but we will also be well prepared for it, and I believe God will see us through.”

Lawal’s performance has been a key factor in 3SC’s success, with the shot-stopper keeping an impressive nine clean sheets in the first round. Speaking on this achievement, he said, “I feel very, very excited, and I thank God for this. It has been God; there is no other magic behind it other than God.”

As the Oluyole Warriors gear up for the second phase of the league, their goalkeeper’s confidence and faith remain a driving force. Lawal’s remarkable consistency between the posts offers 3SC a solid foundation to navigate the upcoming challenges and maintain its strong position in the league.
