The Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) has launched the Prostar match ball as the official ball for the second round of the 2024/2025 season. Meeting FIFA Regulated International Match Standards, the ball features advanced thermal-bonded PU leather, a butyl bladder, and 32 aerodynamic panels, designed for superior precision, durability, and player experience.
In a circular issued by NPFL CEO Davidson Owumi, clubs were instructed to collect the Prostar balls immediately from the league secretariat and mandated to use only these balls for the remaining fixtures. This underscores the NPFL’s commitment to professionalism and standardization in Nigerian football.
Weighing between 400 and 430 grams and having an official size 5, the Prostar match ball promises world-class performance. The league’s adoption is part of its broader effort to enhance the match experience for players and fans while setting a higher football benchmark in Nigeria.
The NPFL leadership lauded the successful completion of the season’s first round and expressed optimism for a smooth continuation, as teams gear up to compete with the newly introduced Prostar ball. Fans and stakeholders eagerly await the action as the season resumes with this new addition.
