Crown FC of Ogbomosho forward Michael Adegbite emerged as the star of the night at the Nigeria National League (NNL)/Prostar Monthly Awards for November, after claiming both the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Highest Goal Scorer accolades. Adegbite’s lethal finishing and consistent goal returns played a pivotal role in Crown FC’s strong run during the month in Nigeria’s second-tier football league.

Adegbite’s performances stood out among his peers, underlining his growing reputation as one of the most decisive attackers in the NNL. His scoring exploits not only boosted Crown FC’s campaign but also earned him widespread recognition from fans, analysts, and league stakeholders.

In other categories, Najeeb Mabo of Doma FC was honoured as Best Coach, following his side’s disciplined displays and tactical consistency. The Best Referee award went to Abdulwahab Jibrin of the Katsina State Referees Council, praised for his composure and excellent match control throughout the period under review.

The ceremony also celebrated Ogonyi Matthew Okpahe of Doma United FC, who won the Best Goal award for his stunning strike on Matchday 3 against ABS FC. Mighty Jets FC of Jos were named Best Behaved Team, reflecting their exemplary conduct on and off the pitch during the month.

The maiden edition of the awards for the new NNL season was held on Wednesday, 16 December 2025, at the Westpoint Hotel, Wuse Zone 7, Abuja. The event attracted top football stakeholders, including former Minister of Sports and current Presidential Aide Sunday Dare, NFF President Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau (represented by NFF General Secretary Dr Mohammed Sanusi), veteran journalist Mainasara Ilo, and former Super Eagles star Daniel Amokachi. Organisers described the ceremony as a major success, reaffirming the NNL/Prostar Monthly Awards’ commitment to promoting excellence, discipline, and professionalism in Nigerian domestic football.
