International Basketball Federation has secured a major broadcast partnership with TNT Sports aimed at significantly expanding the visibility of international basketball in the United States through 2029. The agreement will see top global tournaments aired across multiple platforms, giving American audiences broader access to elite national team competitions.

Under the deal, major events such as the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 and the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027 will be broadcast on TNT Sports’ television networks including TNT, TBS and truTV, while additional coverage will be streamed via HBO Max. The partnership is expected to significantly increase the reach of international basketball among U.S. viewers.

Beyond television, the agreement will leverage TNT Sports’ powerful digital ecosystem, including platforms like Bleacher Report and House of Highlights, to amplify coverage across social media and online channels. This strategy aims to connect global basketball events with millions of younger fans who follow the sport digitally.

The partnership officially begins with coverage of the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup 2026 Qualifying Tournament scheduled for March 11–17 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The tournament will feature the United States women’s national basketball team alongside teams from Spain, Italy, New Zealand and Senegal as they compete for qualification spots.
