A total of one hundred and eighty contingent have departed Ibadan the Oyo state capital to participate in the zonal elimination ahead of this years National Sports Festival schedule to hold in Benin Edo state.
Goal Intense sports crew was at the stadium to witness the departure of the athletes and report that the contingent comprises 180 athletes and 20 official and will participate in games.
The pace setter state will be participating in 6 sports which are Football, Hockey, Cricket, Handball, Basketball and Volleyball.
The Acting General Manager Mr Gboyega Makinde while confirming the figure said the athletes were ready to pick slots and qualify for the 2020 National sports festival in Benin.
The games will be played between 21st to 25th of January 2020 in Lagos.
