Nigeria’s Minister for Youth and Sports Development Mr. Sunday Dare has ranked as one of the best performing Minister in the first year of President Muhammadu Buhari’s second term.
The Outstanding and hardworking Minister was ranked third among his peers with minister of humanitarian affairs, disaster management, and social development, Sadiya Farouq ranked first and Minister of Transportation Rtd Rotimi Amaechi ranked second.
With low and stiff budget Dare the Minister of Youth and Sports Development did a lot of reformations, transparent policies, and was able to woo private investors into youth and sports development in Nigeria which has never happened in the history of Nigeria.
In an interim scorecard released by Transparency Watch, believed the Minister has tried above others Ministries.
His rating was above many ministries with a good budget where do u think youth and sports will be.
The report signed by the organisation’s president, Maxwell Gowon, on Sunday, August 23, said the ministers were graded based on organizational strength, the performance of the agencies under the purview, the impact on the lives of the people as well as transparency and accountability.
In the assessment of organizational strength, of all the ministries reviewed, the report said Farouq scored first with a score of nine out of 10 points. The minister scored nine out of 10 on organisational strength.
According to the report, the minister’s score is due to the ministry’s effective organization of the various interventions programs of President Buhari’-led administration.
The report highlighted that some of the interventions were carried out through by his ministry and all other policies and PPA e was able to bring to the table for youth and sports development in Nigeria
In addition, The Minister of youth and sports development, Sunday Dare, the ministry’s implementation of youth-oriented programs across the country, especially at the grassroots level was rated successful.
