Due to outbreak of Corona virus pandemic across the world, Diamond 2020 has been on hold but this time around our own Nigeria’s track sensation, Ese Brume, will return to track this Friday, GoalIntense reports
Since 2013 Brume became the first Nigeria athlete to win a medal at World Championship and also made history as the second Nigerian woman to make the podium in the event after Blessing Okagbare leaped a distance of 6.99m to grab a silver medal behind the USA’s Brittney Reese (7.01m).
The Doha Diamond League is slated for this Friday in Doha and Brume has been listed for the event alongside Bekh Romachuk ( Ukraine) Sagnia ( Sweden), Brooks ( USA) among others.
Brume has also qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics and remains one of the Nigerian medal hopefuls for the championship.
