The newly elected members of the Delta State Football Association, DFA, board has thrown its weight behind the 3rd edition of the Felix Anirah Football Tournament, FAFT.
The DFA board led by its chairman, Hon. Ken Nwuomocha, made this known on Friday, October 17, when they paid a courtesy call to the sponsor of arguably the biggest grassroot football tournament in Niger Delta, High Chief Felix Anirah, in his Sapele country home.
Hon. Nwuomocha lauded Chief Anirah for his relentless effort in promoting sports in the State especially grassroot programs that unearth future stars.
The DFA boss also assured Chief Felix Anirah and members of the Local Organising Committee of its readiness to assist in making the 3rd edition of the Felix Anirah Football Tournament, a glamorous one.
A member of the DFA board and ex-international, Sam Sodje, while applauding Chief Anirah, promised to attract ex internationals and football scouts to monitor the tournament.
For his part, the member representing Sapele Constituency in the Delta State House of Assembly and sponsor, Felix Anirah Football Tournament, FAFT, High Chief Felix Anirah, thanked the newly elected DFA board for paying him a visit as well as their support towards the much anticipated football tournament.
Also present at the meeting were members of the Felix Anirah Football Tournament Local Organising Committee, DFA board members including vice chairman, Steve Cole, Secretary Azuka Ogosi, Assistant Secretary, Chimezie Ochei, Lucky Nnkeki and ex-international, Sam Sodje.
