Hon Minister Sunday Dare, a bona fide indigene of Ogbomosoland, who is committed to the development of the people, most especially the Youth and coordinated by Rev’d Dr Tayo Adeyanju, started today, 30th October 2020, with registration of prospective beneficiaries, drawn across the different youth groups in Ogbomosoland.
The prospective trainees, came with evidences of text messages received to that effect and were duly registered after proper confirmation of their respective identities by the Registration Officers. These participants (potential beneficiaries) cut across all the five Local Government Areas of Ogbomosoland, namely Ogbomoso North, Ogbomoso South, Oriire, Surulere and Ogo-Oluwa and were decisively allowed to choose any skill of their choice among Fishery, Piggery and Pastry.
The event started at about 2pm and lasted till 4:47pm. The registered individuals were duly informed about the procedures and slated schedules, as much as to achieve a well communicated and successful training event.
The location for the training is DIMEC, Owolaake, Ogbomoso. The time date is Monday, 2nd to Wednesday 4th November 2020 from 7am to 4pm on Monday and Tuesday and 7am to 2pm on Wednesday. There will be entrepreneurship lectures on the first two days coupled with the training. On Wednesday, participants in piggery and fishery classes will go for site visitation while the pastry group will have their practicals within the premises of the training centre.
The closing ceremony will come up by noon together with the presentation of certificates.
There is provision of transport and feeding allowance coupled with free certificates for successful beneficiaries. The Hon. Minister enjoins the Youths to make the best use of this opportunity, while also reminding them, that every great business starts small.
