Joshua’s Late Header Forces SGL To A Draw Against Embassy In SGL Football Tourney Openner

The first edition of Sammab Global Limited grassroot
football tournament got underway today at the Ketu Primary school Ketu Adie – Owe Ogun State.

Embassy football club forced SGL to a 1-1 draw in the opening game played this evening as they went home with a point a piece.

The match was evenly contested with both side coming at each other, tho no goal was recorded in the first interval as it ended in a stealmate.

SGL began the second half with much intensity and where rewarded with a goal for their efforts as Alade Adedolapo’s header Hits the crossbar but Abubakir Wasiu was there to slot in the rebound to fire SGL into the lead.

Afisu got into the referee’s book in the 71st minutes following a harsh challenge on SGL Player as he recorded the only booking of the game.

Joshua connected perfectly to a lovely cross as he headed home late on to cancel out Abubakir Wasiu’s 59th minutes opener as Embassy secured a vital point.

Matches continues tomorrow as 36 Lions football club of Badagry tackles Dynamite football club of iju in the early kickoff, while All Stars football club of Ketu slogs it out with Adex football club of Oke-Ore.
