Thomas Adewunmi College Wins Kwara Schools Football Challenge.

Thomas Adewunmi International College,Oko(TAICO) has emerged champions of the fourth edition of Kwara Schools Football Challenge(KSFC),2021.

An explosive final played on Thursday 27th of May at the Pitch A of Kwara Football Academy(KFA) saw the TAICO boys defeating lads from Community Secondary School(CSS) Ogele 1 nil to claim the title in their second attempt having lost the final to KFA boys in the last edition.

Kamaldeen Abduljeleel who was introduced in the second half of the match scored the lone goal to capped the TAICO’s impressive outing.

Earlier before the grand finale,Kwara Football Academy (KFA) Secondary School students defeated Socrates College 4-0 in the third place final of the tournament.

KSFC is an initiative of Kwara Football Academy (KFA) anchored on its vision to serve as the hub of football talents while using the tournament as a platform to discover football potentials.

The final also featured presentation of awards to outstanding players which includes Godwin Oshagbemi of KFA emerging as the most valuable player of the tournament, Mohammmed Abdullahi of CSS Ogele belting the highest goal scorer award with 7 goals and Yahaya Dan- Mallam of KFA scooping the Best goalkeeper award.

Guests at the final includes the Barrister Ibrahim Senior Sulyman; Commissioner for Tertiary Education, Special Adviser on Youth Engagement to Governor of Kwara State; Kaosarah Adeyi, Permanent Secretary of Ministry of Sports and Youth Development;Barrister Iyabo Banire, Administrator of KFA; Jimoh Kehinde and host of others.
