Ex-Golden Eaglets Starlet Wins First Career Trophy In Sweden

Former Golden Eaglets Starlet to the 2019 Fifa U-17 Worldcup in Brazil Akinwumi Amoo has won his first professional career trophy in Sweden after Hammaby football club beat Häcken 5-4 on penalties to emerged as the 2020-2021 Swedish cup champions

Just days after he turned 18 in June 2020, the Nigeria youth international signed his first professional contract after agreeing a four year deal with the Swedish top-flight outfit.

The midfielder was an integral part of Coach Manu Garaba’s side at the cardet competition helping them to a second round finish after they where knocked out by Netherlands.

With this amazing achievements, Akinkunmi Amoo now joins the likes of Kelechi Iheanacho, Wilfred Ndidi, Asisat Osoala, Leon Balogun, Joe Aribo, Peter Olayinka, Samuel Chukeueze and Paul Onuachu who have all been successful with their club this season winning at least a trophy for their respective clubs.
