Kwara State 2021 Aiteo Federations Cup Finals Kwara Utd Plays Foresight Academy

The finals of the Kwara State 2021 AITEO Federations Cup has been fixed for Friday 11th and Saturday 12th, June 2021, the State Football Association has confirmed.

During a strategic meeting to revised the calendar competition after directives from the Nigeria Football Federation to conclude all activities, the FA confirmed the four clubs that registered genuine interest have been ratified by the Organising Committee.

Making it’s debut in the competition, Foresight Academy will deploy all it’s weapons against Kwara United Football club in the men’s final coming up on Friday 11th June at the Main Bowl of the Kwara state stadium by 4:00pm

The Harmony Boys won the last edition of the Federations cup in 2019 edging Abubakar Bukola Saraki Ilorin Football Club (ABSILORIN FC) and currently has the competition best record, having won it more than any other side.

In the women’s final, it will be a battle for supremacy as Kwara Ladies United, who will compete in the National Women’s League Division One Playoffs, clash with Moje Queens of Erin-Ile, who have maintained a vice grip on the women’s trophy of the competition, having won the last edition in a match that kicks off at 3 pm on Saturday.

According to the FA, winners in both the male and female category of the will represent the state at the National championship while also noting that the matches will be played with strict compliance to Covid-19 Protocols meaning fans are not allowed to feel the game.

The National competition over the years, used to be known as Challenge Cup, FA Cup, and now Federations Cup. Winners of the championship will represent Nigeria at the CAF Confederations Cup.

Kano Pillars won the last Edition in 2019 beating Niger Tornadoes in the final.
