The management of Gateway United FC has again restated its resolve not to welcome fans to its ground for the time being in line with the Covid-19 safety gudelines and protocols.
In an official statement, the club notes that its insistence without fans or supporters is in adherence with the directive of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) that all league matches should be behind closed doors as well as cautioning clubs to either comply fully or be banished and fined.
The teeming supporters of the Gateway club are further enjoined to accept the decision as one of precautionary moves to stop the spread of the ravaging Covid-19 as well as ensuring a quick return of fans to match venues.
Meanwhile, fans will be kept abreast of proceedings with live text commentary on the club’s Facebook page (Gateway United) while the highlights of the game will be uploaded on YouTube (Gateway United FC) after each home game.
