19-year-old Croatia Born Nigeria decent defender Alexander Uwem could be in line for a surprise call-up to Nigeria National team as he is currently been monitored by the Nigeria Football Federation, (NFF).
The defender who is currently on the books of Croatia Segunda Liga B side NK Osijek, was born to a Nigerian Father and a Croatian Mother.
He is however still fully open to play for either Nigeria or Croatia as he hasn’t represented any of the Country’s at any level.
Alexander Uwem began his professional career in Croatia with NK sesvete U-17 in 2018, graduated to the U-19 side in 2019 before making a switch to NK Osijek U-19 in 2020 before being promoted to NK Osijek B senior side in the 2020/2021 seasons made 13th appearance during the course of the league campaign.
Alexander Uwem was born in Zagreb Croatia on the 20th of May 2020, plays as center defender for his club side.
It left to be seen if the highly rated defender would catch the fantasies of Nigeria National team Coach Gernot Rohr or the NFF would rather draft him to the Nigeria U-20 side the Flying Eagles in a bid to secure his future with the Nigeria National Team.
