I want to play for Super Eagles and not America – Philip Titiloye declares

Philip Titiloye who is the son of Kwara United Chairman has stated clearly that he wants to play for the Super Eagles of Nigeria in future and not the American national team.

Born in the United States, the skillful defender has two choices of either playing for US or three-time African champions, Nigeria.

And while speaking with Kwara United Media at the burial ceremony of his grandfather in Oro, Kwara State on Wednesday, Philip Titiloye also named AC Milan legend Paolo Maldini as his role model.

“Although some of my friends in America want me to play for the US in future, but playing for Nigeria is the decision I have made long ago and nothing can change that.

“I always feel happy and comfortable anytime I’m in Nigeria most especially seeing my people in Kwara,” Philip explained.

Philip who was among the Golden Eaglets’ players who played for Nigeria at 2021 WAFU Championship disclosed further that he will be moving to England soon where he hopes to get a club.

The 17-year-old former DC United youngster made it clear that his determination and target is to play for any of the top 6 Premier League teams.
