Four Nigerian players set to hit Poland for Teqball World Championships

Four Nigerian Teqball players have successfully obtained quota to the Teqball World Championships to be staged between 8th to 11th December, 2021 in Gliwice Poland.

The invitation for Nigerian was contained in an email addressed to the President/Secretary, National Teqball Federation by Marius Vizer Jnr, General Secretary of Teqball World Governing body and reads: “On behalf of the International Federation of Teqball (FITEQ) and the Polish Teqball Association (PZTEQ), it is our pleasure to officially invite your delegation to compete at the 2021 Teqball World Championships, to be held from 8-11 December 2021 in Gliwice, Poland.”

The mail added that: “flagship event for the sport will feature five event categories: Men’s and Women’s Singles, Men’s and Women’s Doubles, and Mixed Doubles, to be held at the 13,750 capacity Gliwice Arena, which is one of Poland’s largest multi-purpose indoor sports and entertainment venues.”

Meanwhile, the list of qualified Nigerians to the event had 3 males: Victor Ademoye Oyemade singles/doubles, Khalid Akorede Yahyah doubles, Dillion Emeka Nwachukwu mixed doubles and 1 female, Ijeoma Julian Obi for the mixed doubles who will don the national colours in three liad.

“After the conclusion of the World Championships, the FITEQ General Assembly will be held on 12 December as originally planned. This will remain a solely virtual General Assembly, as communicated on 19th October, regardless of whether or not you are able to join us in Poland for the World Championships.”
