MFM FC gafer Coach Tony Bolus fell prey to Rivers United by conceding three goals in the second semi final of the Governor Wike Preseason Tournament in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The former Giwa FC Coach was satisfied with the way his boys played in the second half of the game but admitted luck was not just on his side.

“I would not say fatigue set in because we had about 24 hours to rest but I would say it was a bad day in office with more pressure to reduce the score line in the second half proved abortive. Luck was not just on our side.”

“We had a very slow start and couple of mistakes at the back cost us those goals, before the boys could come back into the game it was a little bit too late for us.”

The former assistant to Coach Imama at Rangers International had some positives to take away from this competition:

“We have been able to see all the players we brought, know who to draft into the team proper and who to drop as I always say, Still work in progress.”

“It will be a collective decision within the technical crew based on how everyone responded in this competition.”

MFM FC will be going back to South Western part of Nigeria for another Preseason Tournament in Ogun State before the NPFL season kicks off.
