Enyimba coach, Usman Abd’Allah has praised his new starters following a 1-0 win over Rivers United after Match Day 7 rescheduled game.
Enyimba who are 8th on the log table saw Victor Mbaoma scored the first and only goal on the 24th minute of the game through a direct free kick.
Enyimba and Rivers United have met 3 times in their recent history. Enyimba won once while Rivers United won twice.
“The team has changed, we have changed almost 40 percent of the team. There are some players who featured for the first time this season” as reported by Goal Intense in an interview with the coach.
“They are not regulars in the team, they just got their chances starting for the first time, we have lots of injury players”, he added.
“Give credit to them for stepping in, i’m happy with their performance”, he concluded.
