The former Shooting Stars Media Director turns politician Hon. Jubril Abimbola Arowolo has hipped praises on the former Super Eagles Player Ajibade Babalade Kunde and slammed the administrators for not recognizing our sports heroes while alive.
The former Oluyole Warriors media director said this when he granted the Goal Intense media crew interview at his office in Ibadan. The reliable and honest politician relay all his achievments to our crew and this history is not allien to him as he used to do all this while he was at the Shooting Stars as the media director.
“Ajibade Babalade’s Clubs on record were Chevron FC, Lagos., Ajibolu Babes, Lagos., Housing FC, Akure., Stationary Stores, Lagos., Iwuanyanwu Nationale, Owerri., Shooting Stars, Ibadan., African Sports, Abidjan., LG Club, South Korea., Raham FC, India., SK Sturm Graz, Austria where he played alongside with his former Super Eagles and 3SC Team mate Abiodun Baruwa at the club, and also played with top players at the maiden edition of UEFA Champions League.”
The dependable defender had 13 caps with the Super Eagles of Nigeria though he had no goals but he contributed a lot to the success of the team between 1990-1998. The team then was able to win Bronze medal in 1992 but missed the 1994 encounter where the SUper Eagles won gold medal at the mundial.
The 1992 AFCON Bronze medalist last played his official game with Shooting Stars against Lobi Stars in Makurdi in a 4-0 defeat before he later became Team Manager of the Oluyole Warriors (Shooting Stars) between 2008 to 2016 with successes recorded with the team.
The Late Kunde was married to Ngozi Evans in 1994 his lovely wife and also survived with children who are doing well. may his soul continue to rest in peace.
