Al Ahly Legend Ahmed Shobeir Criticizes Pitso Mosimane Over His Lack Of Anger Management

An Al Ahly legend has criticised Pitso Mosimane for losing his cool on a journalist after a team selection question.

According to the report, the journalist asked Mosimane why Luis Miquisonne instead of Amar Hamdy during Ahly 3-2 win over Ghazl El Mahalla on Monday.

Mosimane said:

“Do you mean that Amar must play? So Luis [Miquissone] must not play? Are you serious? Why must Luis not play? Why, when Hassain came in, you didn’t ask [questions]? Why, when Hamdy came in, you didn’t ask questions? Why question Luis? Who won the free-kick? Where did we get the goal from? From Luis!”

The comments have led the club’s legend Ahmed Shobeir to suggest that the South African coach should have chosen better words to address the question.

“I didn’t like to see Mosimane getting angry yesterday, I think he should have answered the way he sees fit and moved on,” he told Ontime Sports, as per KingFut.

“Mosimane’s anger in press conferences is not something I think is right, I have always praised his calm attitude.

“He should take the press conferences the way he prefers, he can choose which questions to answer and which to ignore. I know why Mosimane got angry yesterday, but it’s not the time to tell the story,” Shobeir concluded.

Coming up next for the Red Devils is a home battle against Soumha in the Egyptian Premier League on Thursday.
