Arsenal’s Folarin Balogun on Sheffield United’s radar

Sheffield United’s manager, Chris Wilder has reportedly enquired about the possibility of a transfer move for Anglo-Nigerian born and Arsenal’s wonderkid, Folarin Balogun.

With the transfer window gradually coming a halt, the Blade’s manager is intensely desperate to land an attacker and all options available seem that Arsenal’s aspiring genius, Folarin Balogun might be the perfect option for the Blades after they already contacted Liverpool’s Rhian Brewster for a potential move too.

The inflamed curiosity about this kid has led to Sheffield United submitting an initial offer of £3million plus add-ons for Balogun but the Gunners are reportedly holding out for a deal worth in the region of £15m, comprising an initial fee for the immensely competent front man with further bonuses.

When asked the reasons behind the desuetude nature of the deal, Wilder responded to Yorkshire Live: “Not really comfortable. It’s difficult to sit here and say we haven’t made enquiries. It is an area from last year’s reflection where we need to improve and get better quality in that group, especially with Lys not being available”.

Mikel Arteta is yet to consider Balogun for Arsenal’s first team in the new season due to speculations surrounding his future in the club at a glance.
