Customs and NSCDC Start Strong as CGC Volleyball Premier League Final Phase Heats Up

The final phase of the CGC Volleyball Premier League kicked off in dramatic style at the Moshood Abiola Stadium, Abuja, with top teams battling for supremacy. In the women’s category, the Nigeria Customs Service and NSCDC demonstrated their title ambitions with commanding victories. Customs cruised past LifeCamp VC 3-0 (25-12, 25-16, 25-17), while NSCDC outlasted COAS Spikers 3-1 (25-20, 25-23, 17-25, 25-16).

NAF Rockets VC also impressed with a 3-0 win over Kada Emeralds, and Nigeria Immigration Service dispatched Benue Queens 3-1 in a hard-fought match. The day’s most thrilling contest saw Olalomi Royal VC rally from two sets down to edge Anambra Queens 3-2 in a sensational comeback (20-25, 17-25, 25-17, 25-15, 15-12).

In the men’s division, the action reached a fever pitch with Nigeria Customs Service narrowly defeating Nigeria Police Force 3-2 in a star-studded match (20-25, 25-17, 17-25, 25-22, 18-16). Offa VC survived an epic clash with Kano Pillars, securing a 3-2 victory after a nail-biting tiebreaker (23-25, 25-20, 21-25, 27-25, 15-7).

With commanding wins from Kada Kings, CNS Spikers, and COAS Spikers, the competition has set the stage for an electrifying contest in the days to come, as teams vie for the coveted CGC Volleyball Premier League crown.
