Coach Olokode Suleiman Mustapha of Musty football Academy has expressed his delight over the breakthrough of one of his Academy’s product, Mubarak Gata in Asteras Tripolis F.C of Greece.
Mubarak, the former Golden Eaglets Star last played for ABS Ilorin FC before signing the dotted lines with the Greek division one side recently.
Coach Mustapha in a chat gathered from owosports.com, described Gata’s new contract as a good omen and a manifestation of his Academy’s efforts in bringing up good players.
“I really thank God for this development, and i am really happy about it. Mubarak is very loyal to me and he’s a good player- I’m sure he would make us proud in his new Club.” Says Olokode.
Recalling how the player grew through his rank, the gaffer notes that the former Golden Eaglets Star spent not less than five years with his Academy before ABS Ilorin FC requested for his service to join the team for a Laliga U-15 tournament.
“I released Mubarak Gata and Sufian Bello to ABS Ilorin FC, having requested for their services to play in the Laliga U-15, and since then,he has really improved his game- playing for Golden Eaglets of Nigeria within the period and at the same time featuring for ABS FC in Nigeria National League( NNL) for years”.
Coach Mustapha commended ABS Ilorin FC for their efforts in creating opportunities for young and talented players and hope that their relationship with his Academy will continue to yield success.
“I really want to appreciate the fact that ABS FC still acknowledge Musty FA as Gata’s grassroots team and I believe our relationship will continue to yield fruits” he remarked.
He urged Mubarak not to lose focus and continue to train hard in order to meet up with the expectations of his new club.
