Sierra Leone born former player turn administrator Mr. Osman Sillah of OYAH FC has called on the ministry through the federations to come to the aid of private and public own clubs in Nigeria because football is capital intensive and its pure business Goal Intense can report.
The certified sport management professional, stated this during his interview on a WhatsApp platform (Sport World).
“I think when the ministry through the federations come to the aids of these clubs in terms of infrastructures then this will make life easier for everyone and the revenue will be incredible on both government and the clubs”.
The former Eastern Lions FC player was elated when he was asked about his achievement so far in Nigeria Football. He said:
“Getting my team promoted to the NNL is a huge achievement for me this year and one of the challenges has been financial because owing a private club is very difficult and demanding because one needs to have those funds but I give thank God.”
Meanwhile, because Sillah is very conversant with Finland clubs, agents, and scouts, most of his players go to Finland and they all settle easily as players and sometimes as a family.
“Yes, I hire a Finnish coach as Technical Director to come and help OYHA FC both tactically and with the Finland style of play. He will also assist wit scouting of the best players that ply their trade in Europe, especially in Finland and Sweeden.”
“We also have a partnership with an Israeli businessman who assists in getting a club for our players in Isreal and other countries.”
The CEO of OYHA FC was also asked about his best players in Europe at the moment he said:
“I scouted Koulibaly of Napoli and Umar Kouri the Gambian Captain who now plays in Sampdoria in Serie A who is rumored to be linked with Liverpool FC. I have got a lot of players abroad and they are doing quite fine. “
OYHA FC is currently playing in the Nigeria National League the Tier 2 of the Nigeria League.
