20 youths have emerged winners of the maiden edition of Governor Gboyega Oyetola Online Sports Quiz Competition organized by the Special Adviser to the Governor on Youth and Sports, Aremo Gboyega Adelabu as part of activities marking the 66th Birthday Celebration of the Governor which holds today Tuesday, September 29, 2020.
The competition, where thousands of people, majorly youths across nooks and crannies of the state and beyond participated lasted two weeks and produced 20 winners who were painstakingly scrutinized and cleared of any form of malpractices and cheating.
Chairman organizing committee Mr. Sikiru Tijani and the Secretary, Mr. Rasheed Jimoh lauded the committee, particularly the technical department for the smooth conduct of the competition and for fishing out those who cheated by all means such as using multiple e-mail addresses, camera disabling etc, who were later disqualified.
“We thank God for the success of the competition where 20 people, majorly youths have emerged after proper scrutiny. We congratulate the winners and appreciate all participants, together with Office of the Special Adviser on Youth and Sports, Aremo Gboyega Adelabu who powered the competition.”
“We wish to inform the winners, who will be duly contacted via their e-mail addresses that they will be rewarded on Saturday, October 3rd, 2020 at a mini prize giving ceremony billed for Ilerioluwa Campaign Office, Ogo Oluwa Oshogbo, where Cabinet members, parliamentarians among others are expected to be present,”concluded the statement.
