Governor Oyetola Won’t Watch His Children Starve – Aremo Adedibu

Special Adviser to Governor Gboyega Oyetola on Youth and Sports, Aremo Adegboyega Adelabu has assured Osun athletes and coaches that better days are ahead of them as plans are currently underway to reposition sports and make the stadium a beehive of sporting activities more than before.

Aremo Adelabu stated this while addressing Osun sports council staff, athletes, coaches and players during his first official visit to the Osogbo Township Stadium on Tuesday, July 28, 2020.

“As a Commissioner or Special Adviser, there is no special personal goal as the major goal is the goal of the Governor who makes the appointment. Since the goal of Governor Gboyega Oyetola is to make life meaningful for all, ours is to work assiduously to achieve this goal,” stated the Osogbo-born grassroots politician.

When asked about the plan of the Ministry for sports development and welfare of athletes, coaches and players, Aremo Adedibu affirmed that the ministry would not relent in its efforts at repositioning sports in Osun and make it a medium where talented and skillful stars are identified, raised and nurtured to stardom.

“What we want is the success which is achievable through cooperation and support of all stakeholders. We also assure everyone that all athletes, coaches, and players are like children to Governor Oyetola and His Excellency would not fold his arms and watch his children starve,” concluded the Special Adviser.
