Handball Federation of Nigeria (HFN) have finalised a 16 woman squad for their 2021 African Women’s Handball Nations Cup campaign in Cameroon.
According to report from Aclsports, the 24th edition of the African Women’s Handball Championship will take place from 8th to 18th June, 2021 in Yaoundé, Cameroon
The squad boast of two foreign based players; Rachael Ovetuo (ASPAC, Benin Republic) and Mercy Audu (ASPAC, Benin Republic) as well as 14 home based players.
Sadety Babes has four players; Patience Amodu, Chisom Umeh, Ruth Iko and Taiwo Raji while Muhinat Yusuf and Wuraola Nuhu of Adorable Angels of Kwara made the final list.
The team captain is Dorathy Nyangh while Rafiu Salami of Issy Handball Club, Masculin of France is the head coach.
Nigeria is in group B and will face hosts Cameroon, DR Congo and Kenya
