IBADAN FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION (IFA) will usher in the 2021/22 Soccer Season with a grand opening ceremony as its League kicks off tomorrow inside Obafemi Awolowo Stadium.
On-going reconstruction works at the Olubadan Stadium has prevented the 84th edition of the League from holding at the Association’s Stadium, but the soccer body was undeterred as it shifted the venue to Obafemi Awolowo Stadium after considering many factors.
For this year’s opening ceremony,there would be a medley of the old and the modern .Traditional Drummers from Ogbomoso have been invited to entertain guests and fans in the native Oyo way.
To complement this,the energetic Exquisite dancers will jiggle to modern day hip-hop music from a top Disc Jockey(DJ) to give spectators an unforgettable experience.
Right after, the newly-promoted and youthful Ibadan City FC will trade tackles with 2013 Olubadan Cup Champions Oke-Ado Utd FC at 2pm.
At 4pm,the Star match of the day commences as Muyiwa Lawal(kokoro);Kola Demola,Dele Adeleye among others will file out against highly-enterprising ,second place 2019 IFA League winners,VIA ACADEMY FC.
