“Invitation Of Homebase Players Shows NPFL Stars Are Being Appreciated” Olorunleje Ojo

Abia Warriors goalkeeper Ojo Olorunleke is impressed with the recent invitation of the Nigerian professional football league stars to the Super Eagles squad decribing it as a positive signs that shows that the Nigerian professional football league players are being appreciated.

Enyimba’s goalkeeper John Noble, Anayo Iwuala, Ikechukwu Ezenwa, and captain Amhed Musa have been invited for the upcoming International friendly against the Idomitable Lions of Cameroon that will go down in Australia in June.

Recall that the trio of Adeleke Adekunle, Anayo Iwuala and John Noble where all called up for the Super Eagles final double header African cup of Nations qualifiers against Benin republic and Lesotho in late March.

Meanwhile Anayo Iwuala was the only player amongst the three NPFL players invited to feature coming on as a second half substitute in both games.

Ojo Olorunleke speaking in a chat with Goalintense.com.ng said, we’re happy they got the call up, it means NPFL players are been appreciated again and it will also encourage us more to keep giving our best knowing that attention is also on us now”he said.

The Super Eagles where billed to kick start their World cup qualifications camping in June against Liberia and Cape Verde before it was postponed till October 2021.
