Kano Pillars head coach has said that lack of technical ability from his goalkeeper cost the team heavy defeat by Akwa United.
In the post match interview granted after the game he said Bassey Akpan gave the promise keepers the three goals all for free due to his lack of technical ability.
“Lack of technical ability from the goalkeeper cost us the goals today”
“My players played both halfs well, created lots of chances but we couldn’t convert them to goals.”
“Akwa United is a good team as a champion but pillars is better, we will go back to home work on the larpses and cancel the three goals conceded today .”
“Though Bassey is a new player and he is our second or third choice goalkeeper, lots just need to be taught as regards our mode and culture at the Club.”
“The third goal was totally is fault and I think he will meet the goalkeeper trainer to analyse his mistake and make amendments.”
