Kano Pillars Fc management, stated that , they were suprise when they received the verdict from the Legue Managent Company (LMC), on Monday 14 June 2021, for the incident that happened in its NPFL match day 27 against Akwa United Fc on (Sunday) at Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna which ended 0-0 in the ongoing 2020/2021 NPFL season.

This was disclosed by the chairman of the club Alhaji Surajo Shaaibu Yahaya jambul shortly after receiving the LMC verdict.

Sha’aibu Jambul, said he was aghast and shocked , when he start hearing the verdict from the Media before he received it officially which according to him, is like people are just waiting sai masu gida to found wanting.

“We received the verdict that LMC is charging us for breaching the Covid-19 Protocol by permitting the spectators to be in the match venue and encroachment during the match with fine of over Seven Million naira but we are on it , studying the judgement for our final decision” the chairman said.

On the issue of failure to provide adequate security in the Stadium,Jambul said “we need clarification between the club and Kaduna State Football Association which is responsible to provide the security in the Stadium” .

Let me clarify it to you, since sai Masu Gida, ‘the name Kano Pillars are nicknamed upon’, adopted Ahmadu Bello Stadium Kaduna as their home ground this season they are providing all the logistics requested by Kaduna State Football Association about security in all of its home matches so why Pillars Fc to be blame in that area?

Pillars Chairman , said Kano Pillars Fc didn’t sales tickets and didn’t invite anybody to be in the stadium, therefore we don’t know how and when the spectators , manage to get access to the stadium.

Surajo Yahaya Jambul, then advised the authority concern to thread and study carefully how their match against Akwa United Fc was handled so as to correct some of the mistakes that occurred during the match and correct it with aim of preventing its occurance in the future.

” We are law abiding citizens and we would continue doing our possible best to promote the league and Nigeria football at large but always let the justice be done” as stated by the Pillars Chairman.
