The League Management Company has approved the change of name of Akwa Starlets to Dakkada International FC on Wednesday 11th December, 2019.
This was stated in a letter sent to the club, general public, and all NPFL clubs that the change of name has been accepted.
“This is to inform you that Dakkada International FC has complied wilth all requirements for the change of name of Akwa Starlet FC”
The club changed the name at the beginning of the season but having failed to meet the legal and other requirements as stated by the league body before the commencement of the league.
In the main time, the club changed the logo from the old one to a new and also have to rebrand the whole appearance of the team.
Enyimba International fc will be the first opponents to face the third-placed NPFL19/20 club as Dakkada Int’l FC this Sunday when the two sides meet in a Match Day 8 at Uyo.
