s head of news Mr. Pius Nsabe dropped this hint during an interview on “global voice” a personality interview programme on the African Portal. an online Radio/Television platform in Pretoria, South Africa.
According to him, relationship between media and government has a profound impact on the information to which the public has access.
Mr. Nsabe stated that governments have relied on media to communicate with citizens, and stakeholders, ensuring that they receive the information that will shape their day-to-day decisions.
He also appealed to government and other stakeholders to help foster the skills and conduisive environment needed for a strong media from creativity and entrepreneurship to the importance of ethics and fact-checking,
Mr. Nsabe however advised the younger generation of journalists to prioritized integrity and professionalism above mediocrity and other considerations towards making heads way in their career.
