Inter Miami CF has earned a spot in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup after claiming the 2024 MLS Supporters’ Shield, showcasing consistent top performance throughout the season. The team, captained by Lionel Messi, set a new MLS record with 74 points, including 22 wins and only four losses, to qualify as the host country’s representative.

FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed the club’s participation during a celebration in Fort Lauderdale, where he also announced that Miami would host the tournament’s opening match on June 15, 2025. This competition will feature 32 top clubs from across the globe.

With 31 of the 32 participating clubs confirmed, the upcoming 2024 CONMEBOL Libertadores final will decide the final spot. The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 promises to bring together football’s elite, offering global exposure and thrilling matchups.
