NFF should apply for the use of VAR – Evans Ogenyi

After having a disappointing draw at home during the NPFL Match Day 1 in Warri the intelligent coach came all the way to redeem his image in Akure where he stole a draw.

The Seaside gaffer was happy about the way the match went and gave kudos to the Nigeria Referee Association, League Management Company and the Nigeria Football Federation for the constant monitoring and checks.

While speaking with Goal Intense correspondent about NPFL Match Day Two, he said:

“Today’s game is not a bad game and no team is a push over. I thank the NRA, LMC, NFF and the you people(journalist) for the constant monitoring to check and make it better.”

The former Lobi stars gaffer told our correspondent the secret behind the good result:

 “I told my boys that the only way we can redeem our image is to get a good result and we prepared well.”

Coach Evans also reiterated the need for the VAR in NPFL sighting series examples where it will help the game of football:

Yes, we need a VAR and that NFF should apply for the use because Morocco is the federation in Africa to apply for it. 

He finally appeals to the administrator to take the issue of re-orientating the Players and the Backroom Staff on the new FIFA rules:

‘I think the administrator needs re orientations on the rules of the Game and everybody involved needs reorientation. And the security issues need to be intensified the more.” He concluded.
