Head coach of the Nigeria Professional Football League Club Sunshine Stars Gbenga Ogunbote is delighted with a comprehensive victory recorded against Rangers international of Enugu in the match day 7 of the league, BSNSports.com.ng reports.
Sunshine Stars at the Akure Township stadium in Sunday defeated Rangers 3-1 courtesy goals from Saheed Yusuf, Fuad Ekelojuoti and Chinedu Udechukwu before Godpower Anefiok reduced the scoreline.
Ogunbote who formerly handled the Flying Antelope hailed the performance of his boys and hope they can do more.
“For a team to have won 3-1 and we are talking about almighty Rangers; it’s a grade A game and I think it was good one for us. It will only give us courage that we can still do it,” he said.
Sunshine Stars will travel to Okigwe stadium for the match day 8 against Abia Warriors.
