Shooting Stars Sports Club delivered a composed and resilient performance to secure a 2–1 victory over Kano Pillars in their Nigeria Professional Football League Matchday 28 clash. Backed by passionate home support, the Oluyole Warriors showed character and tactical discipline to claim all three points and maintain their impressive run.

Despite an early disallowed goal from Sodiq Ibrahim, Shooting Stars remained focused and eventually broke the deadlock in the 30th minute. Abayomi Junior’s pinpoint corner was met by Ibrahim’s powerful header, giving the hosts a deserved halftime advantage after sustained attacking pressure.

The hosts tightened their grip after the restart, with Adegoke Qamar producing a brilliant solo effort to double the lead. Although Ahmed Musa inspired a response that led to Kano Pillars pulling one back, Shooting Stars maintained defensive discipline and composure under late pressure.

At full time, the 2–1 victory confirmed a league double over Kano Pillars and underlined Shooting Stars’ growing momentum. The result not only strengthens their home dominance but also reinforces the club’s determination to finish the season strongly.
