NSC Chairman Dikko Celebrates Nigeria’s Growing International Sports Influence as Nimrod Clinches African Beach Volleyball Role

National Sports Commission Chairman Mallam Shehu Dikko has celebrated Engineer Musa Nimrod’s appointment as President of the Africa Beach Volleyball Commission. The appointment, confirmed by the CAVB Board of Administration in Morocco, adds to Nigeria’s recent successes in securing key continental sports leadership positions.

“I am personally happy with this news because it shows that more of our sports administrators are beginning to get international recognitions which is good for the Growth of our Sports back home,” Dikko stated, connecting Nimrod’s achievement to the recent election of Mr. Wahid Enitan Oshodi as President of the African Table Tennis Federation in Ethiopia.

The NSC Chairman emphasized the commission’s commitment to supporting sports federations in achieving similar international recognition, stating, “This is part of the Growth we want to be seeing in our Sports, and the NSC will support the various Sports Federations to ensure that more of such a feat is achieved at international level.”

Looking ahead, Dikko outlined the Sports Commission’s vision: “The Sports Commission is determined to see that the Sports Sector takes a new Trajectories of consistent success both from the Grassroot to the Elite level.” This appointment of Nimrod, recognized for his significant contributions to beach volleyball development, represents another milestone in Nigeria’s growing influence in African sports administration.
