The day two of the ongoing Football coaches association of African Nations FCAAN C diploma in Akure got a big boost as one of the Nigerian leading coach Gbenga Ogunbote head coach of Sunshine stars Visited the venue of the course in Akure Monday Afternoon.
Ogunbote who is the reigning coach of the year in the country commended the leadership of FCAAN especially it’s president DR Terry Eguaoje who saw a better tomorrow for Nigerian coaches and created one of the best platform in Africa for coaches to get abreast with modern requirements of the beautiful game.
According to the former coach of Rangers.and, 3sc ‘ FCAAN is doing a great Job, which means better future for Nigerian coaches “.
He also described the online teaching of FCAAN as great one that has contributed immensely to the knowledge based of the coaches.
” I am a member of the FCAAN social media groups and the professional conduct and discussions are great and will surely help growth of coaches of this platform”
The versatile coach also charged Nigerian coaches on regular development as the game today is dynamic and require constant update.
He also said he would have love to be part of the session ongoing in Akure but the Nigerian premier league just entering it’s peak means he have to look forward to subsequent courses.
He also ommended FCAAN smartness in using the match day 22 of the Nigerian premier between his team Sunshine and Jigawa Golden stars for practical analysis as visionary that will help the coach in no small measure.
In his response FCAAN president DR Terry Eguaoje thanked the coach for the visit and intimate the coach that the vision of FCAAN is to see Nigerian coaches take over the country football especially the national teams in no distance time.
Dr Terry who is also consultant coaching and development to the Nigerian football Federation NFF charged club owners to promptly pay the actors their salaries so as to enhance the quality of football in the country.
The course which started Sunday will terminate Saturday 22nd, with about hundred coaches in attendance
