National President, Sports Writers Association of Nigeria, SWAN, Honour Sirawoo has said that there is no controversy in Oyo SWAN as Comrade Olaolu Fawole remains the state chairman of the Association.
Sirawoo made the affirmation in an exclusive chat with Pensioners FM Correspondent, Ibiwumi Ishola.
The SWAN boss frowned at the activities of Oyo State council of the Nigeria Union of Journalist, NUJ on SWAN issue.
Sirawoo said that Alebiosu of Nigerian Tribune is not a member of SWAN even if he is a practicing sports writer.
“Our chairman in Oyo state is Olaolu Fawole of Radio Nigeria Ibadan and SWAN has its statues, which determine who is a member and who is not” Sirawoo added
He described the act of Niyi Alebiosu as a criminal one, as the national body got a court judgment against him some weeks ago, which resulted into recovery of the official vehicle from him.
“He is no longer a member, the court said he should stop parading himself and if he is well mannered, he should have stopped parading himself”
Sirawoo therefore admonished Oyo NUJ against interfering in activities of Oyo SWAN led by Olaolu Fawole.
NUJ, Oyo state council has been backing some set of Impostors who are not registered members of SWAN as executive members.
