Former Super Falcons handler, Florence Omagbemi, has rejected an offer from the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) to return as the Nigerian female National team the assistant coach of the Super Falcons,
Florence Omagbemi was the captain of the Super Falcons for 16 years and has played and coached teams outside the country before she was appointed the teams head coach as she led the team to win the African Women’s Nations Cup trophy in Cameroun 2016, her contract was not renewed by the NFF and her allowances and salaries were not paid in time even after the team staged a protest to get their entitlements.
According to reports from our source, the NFF offered her the position of an assistant coach on Tuesday evening with an order to relocate from the United States to Nigeria immediately which she turned down.
The NNF has promised to name the Super Falcons technical crew soonest.
