Chairman, Oyo State Football Association (OYO FA), Oba James Odeniran on Tuesday described the death of a prominent member of the Executive committee of the Nigeria Football Federation, Hon. Chidi Ofor as a shock and a great loss.
FIFA Badged Referee (Rtd) was shocked and expressed his heartfelt condolences when the news broke in Ibadan.
In his statement signed by the Secretary of the FA, Mr. Kehinde Ojelowo described the deceased as a passionate and brilliant football administrator with loads of experience at the grassroot level which made him achieve successes with the NFF, NNL and Enugu State FA.
“We will miss his sense of humor and his progressive innovations always.”
Oba Odeniran pray for the family and wished the entire football fraternity the fortitude to bear the loss.
Late Hon Chief Chidi Ofor Okenwa died at the age of 50 in Enugu state after a brief illness.
