The Rwanda Premier League (RPL) has announced a groundbreaking three-year partnership with ProStar Sports International, a rapidly growing Nigerian sports equipment manufacturer. The agreement establishes ProStar as the official provider of match balls for all RPL fixtures beginning in January 2026. This deal marks a major advancement in the league’s ongoing efforts to enhance professionalism and elevate football standards in Rwanda.
As part of the partnership, ProStar Sports International will supply high-performance, internationally certified match balls designed for professional competition. Production is already underway, and all RPL clubs will receive the official match balls at no cost throughout the three-year duration. According to RPL CEO Jules Karangwa, the collaboration represents a strategic step forward in modernizing the league’s operational and technical framework.
Karangwa emphasized that the partnership will significantly improve consistency, match quality, and equipment standards across the league. He added that working with a trusted African manufacturer reinforces the RPL’s mission to raise the bar for football in Rwanda. The league believes that partnering with ProStar will bring long-term benefits to players, clubs, and fans by ensuring top-tier matchday tools.
ProStar CEO Paul Maduakor described the deal as a milestone for both the company and Nigerian sports entrepreneurship. He expressed excitement about expanding ProStar’s footprint into East Africa and reaffirmed the company’s commitment to delivering premium match balls engineered for elite performance. The official RPL match ball, featuring advanced technology and a design inspired by Rwanda’s cultural identity, will debut in early 2026—further cementing ProStar’s growing influence across African football.
