Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) of Ibadan, will hope to return to winning ways on Sunday, when they play host to Gombe United FC.
The NPFL Matchday three fixture, billed for the Lekan Salami Stadium, will see the Ibadan soccer lords go for the kill after last wekkend’s 0-2 defeat suffered in the hands of Bendel Insurance.
Pained by the loss to the Benin Arsenals, despite dominating the game, the Oluyole Warriors are ready to vent their anger on the Savannah Scorpions.
Technical Adviser of the team, Gbenga Ogunbote, said after the match in Benin that he and his lads were already looking forward to Sunday’s game, with the focus on claiming the maximum points to wipe out the memories of the Matchday two defeat.
The visitors, who are still basking in the euphoria of their 2-0 win over Enyimba International last weekend, will storm Ibadan to see if they can handle the Stars’ firepower.
When both sides met on the same turf last season, the Oluyole Warriors hammered the northerners 3-0, courtesy of a first half goal by Malomo Taofeek and two second half strikes by Godwin Alao and Douglass Archiv.
Supporters and fans of the Ibadan soccer lords, will expect nothing but a repeat of that feat over the coach Muhammed Babaganaru tutored Savannah Scorpions.
