South East Basketball Championship lights up Owerri as Sharma Melody klink Da drunk snop dog and local artiste are set to thrill sports fans at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri
The event that will take place at the Grasshoppers international stadium will be the first competitive competition for the newly commissioned basketball rim donated to the regional basketball outfit by the giant of Africa foundation.
The competition will future eight teams from the five States of the South East.
Speaking further on the program to Wakawaka Sports extra ,the South East representative on the board of Nigeria Basketball Federation,Mr. Osita Nwachukwu, who is behind the program said there will be a coaching Clinic to help the local basketball coaches update their knowledge of the game.
National Women’s team handler Peter Amedu will take on the coaches during the three days competition that have the blessing of the the chairman of the Imo state Sports Commission ,Chief Fan Nduboke
Governor Emeka Ihedioha of Imo will be the special guest of honor ,with the secretary to the government of the state and other dignitaries expected at the opening ceremony.
