SSA Adeboye Celebrates Nigerian Women on International Women’s Day

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Grassroots Sports Development, Hon. Adeyinka Anthony Adeboye has joined millions around the world in celebrating International Women’s Day, describing Nigerian women as pillars of strength, resilience, and progress in society. In a goodwill message, the presidential aide praised the vital role women play in nation-building across various sectors.

Adeboye highlighted the contributions of women in sports, youth development, leadership, and community advancement, noting that Nigerian women continue to break barriers and redefine possibilities. According to him, their determination and commitment have helped shape a stronger and more inclusive society.

He also acknowledged the growing impact of women in sports, commending female athletes, administrators, and stakeholders who have elevated Nigeria’s global sporting reputation. Adeboye stressed that increased participation of girls in grassroots sports is essential for nurturing the next generation of champions.

Reaffirming the commitment of the administration of Bola Ahmed Tinubu to gender inclusion and empowerment, Adeboye called for continued support for women and girls. He noted that investing in women through sports and youth programmes will strengthen communities and contribute to national progress.
