The Just Concluded European Season Is A Crowning Year For Nigeria Stars – Christopher Justice

Former Super Eagles Midfielder Justice Longs Christopher is Impressed with the exploits of Nigerian players in Europe this outgoing season in what he describes as a great year.

No doubt it was a fantastic season for Nigerian stars across Europe as the duo of Kelechi Iheanacho and Wilfred Ndidi where crowned champions of the Emirates FA cup in England beating Chelsea to the English prestigious crown, Joe Aribo and Leon Balogun also emerged as the Scottish premiership champions with Rangers Glasgow doing it in a fasinating fashion as they ended the season undefeated.

Elsewhere in Belgium, Paul Onuachu scored 35 goals and recorded five assist in 38 games as he inspired Genk to clinching the Belgian cup, also being named the player of the year in Belgium.

Nigerian Super Falcons striker Assist Oshola became the first African woman to lift the UEFA Women champions league title, also winning the Primera Division Femenina with Barcelona.

Samuel Chukeueze wasn’t left out in the trophy haul as he ended the season on a high winning the UEFA Europa league title with Villarreal beating Manchester United 11-10 on penalties as he claimed his first major senior Career trophy as the list continues.

The former Royal Antwerp midfielder according to brila.net, described the season as a crowning year and one he hopes will encourage other Nigerian players to work hard as well inorder to achieve great things and more for their respective clubs after a promising 2020/2021 Football season.
